For those of you who are new, this is a concept I took from Tim Ferriss. (This is just focused on MLM and online marketing) If you don’t subscribe to his newsletter. You should do it.
Lesson in Network Marketing: You Are Enough – You just have to believe it.
Here’s what I know…
You and I put on our pants the same way.
I pee.
I poo.
I fart.
I’m normal.
Since starting our business, I’ve been scared. We’ve had horrible months.
In fact, in early 2019, we were seriously scared about the future of our business and we’re having actual talks about if we were willing to dip into our personal savings to keep the business afloat…
Or would we go get jobs again?
We ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches out of our trunk as we worked at Starbucks…
It’s true that we already had some decent “success” but things took a hit.
And we got hit hard.
A couple years before that, I had to drive Uber to pay my bills…
I literally remember being excited as hell one day that I made $110 after 10 hours of driving.
I also remember skipping most of my lunch at McDonald’s because I didn’t want to spend the extra $3.
The truth?
I’m human. Just like you.
See, within 2 months of eating peanut butter and jelly’s out of our trunk, we had not only made enough to live again.
We recouped everything we lost.
And within 3 months of that, we were making more than our “big” upline in our old company.
So what changed?
We got 100% clear on what we needed to accomplish.
We deleted ALL other options. (We didn’t burn our relational bridges but we did burn the options to divert.)
We trusted God.
My point is this – No matter how good you think I am. I can promise you I’m not.
I get confused. I get anxious. I get scared. Just like you.
The ONLY difference is…
I choose to know WHO I am as well as WHOSE I am.
I believe that the Creator wants me to prosper. I believe that He’s given us everything we need to succeed. I believe that He needs all of my needs per HIS abundance NOT mine.
See, the Creator, God or infinite intelligence is not scared of your $10M request. That’s chump change to Him. (If He created everything, He already owns everything)
Your problems are not big to him.
Don’t wait to pray, meditate on good things or manifest your desires until you’re in the crap hole…
Remember, even your BIG problems are small to Him.
So bring your “big” and “small” stuff to Him. Because it’s all small…
Lastly, recognize that you are enough JUST the way you are.
I want you to close your eyes, think of as many people as you can who love you unconditionally and ask yourself…
“Do THESE PEOPLE love me just the way I am?”
Yes. Yes they do.
“Do I have to accomplish anything else in order to be loved and accepted by them?”
No. No I don’t.
“So is everything ok?”
Well, yea. Everything is ok.
Remember your motivation. Remember who you’re doing this for. And also remember that you are enough just as you are.
You’re the masterpiece in the stone.
All you have to do is move forward. God will chip away the pieces to reveal it.
Lesson in Online Marketing: Call Your Shot – As I mentioned, one of the major things we changed was having the cahones to call our shot.
That means we got ultra specific on what we needed to accomplish by when.
We also planned for the worst case scenario – so if it happened, we didn’t have to scramble and “think”.
The plan was already “thinked”. We just had to execute the next phase.
So, here’s what to do:
Decide how much money you want to make or how many reps you want to recruit next month.
Now draw a rectangle on a white board and put “0” on one end and your goal on the other.
Then color in that rectangle throughout the month and DO NOT ERASE IT.
Let it stay there the ENTIRE MONTH.
Don’t get hung up on the tactics of filling it in. Let God or the “universe” figure that out.
Just call your shot and take massive, intelligent action.

This deeply resonated with me because this is how I used to operate…

Book I’m Reading: Red Key Revolution – A friend and top earner Jordan Kemper recently gave me a copy of his book, Red Key Revolution.
I walked into it expecting one thing…
And got something entirely different.
Throughout the short 133 page read, Jordan truly breaks down the NUMBER ONE reason people do not succeed and attain what he calls “significance”.
In short, it’s about the “cuts” we make in our lives (haveta read it)
And while it’s not targeted to network marketers (yet), in many ways, it’s a mental map of a top earner’s mind.
If you’ve ever wanted to “pick the brain” of a top earner or “take them to coffee”, I can promise you that Jordan delivers more real world street value in these 133 pages than almost any coffee meeting you’re going to have.
This is going on my book list.
Scary Thoughts: Rebels Is Giving Equity? – The scariest thing in my mind is not living up to the potential God gave me. As you may know, Ashley and I’s primary goal in business is to create influence to share the grace of Christ.
That doesn’t necessarily mean converting people.
Our belief is that Jesus saves. Not us. So we don’t have to attempt to convert anyone.
But that does mean acting like Christ so that people see Christ in us, see a successful life and want to ask more…
So increasing that influence is very important to us.
Our Rebels business is at a point where it could really use another high level visionary/executer besides Ashley and myself.
Thankfully, we’re in a position of strength and are a “cash flow business” so someone trying to give us a huge pile of cash for a piece of equity is not that enticing.
That also means that we’ve passed up on a lot of potential candidates.
…And that ALSO means that we’re treading VERY carefully.
See, on our own, we do own 100% of everything. But 100% of 100 is not as good as a smaller percentage of 1,000, right?
And if a partner can help you get to 1,000 faster, it could be a good deal.
To find a potential partner, you need an interesting mix of variables.
They must possess a superpower that is vital to the business.
They must be complimentary with DIFFERENT strengths than Ashley or I.
They must be aligned with the vision as if it were their own and (in my opinion) be spiritually aligned.
Well, we think we may have found that person and are in early talks of starting a “trial run” where he puts a hand on the wheel with us for a while we date.
For every scenario there’s success stories and horror stories.
And there’s no better category for either of those than “business partnerships”.
It’ll be really exciting to see how things unfold…
