It wouldn’t be a healthy Friday without Cinco Bala. This week’s top 5 lessons, hacks and quotes I’ve been pondering, applying and battling.
For those of you who are new, this is a concept I took from Tim Ferriss. (This is just focused on MLM and online marketing) If you don’t subscribe to his newsletter. You should do it.
Lesson in Network Marketing: How To Protect Your Money In Any Economy – Listen, spending all your money isn’t cool.
I’ve got lots of friends who do really well when everything is going good.
But right now, some of them are hurting.
Why?
Because their income dried up and they didn’t invest money when they did make it.
They started making $30k/month and started buying lambos. Stupid.
Equally as bad is tying up all your money in a 401k.
(Just my personal opinion. Don’t throw stones)
(BTW – DON’T pull your money out of the market right now. It ALWAYS comes back. Hold out til’ it comes back and then adjust your strategy.)
See, thanks to my guest, Will Street, we’ve officially taken a 0% hit during this most recent market “crash”.
Literally zero.
And Will is BUYING properties right now.
How?
I’ve always been an advocate for treating your money well when you make it.
After all, why would we work so hard to make it and then pee it away on crap?
Or put it in an investment vehicle that gets eaten alive with fees and is subject to a public panic?
This episode couldn’t have been timed more perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend listening to this immediately if you also want to protect what you earn.

Short of complete martial law and a full blown end to capitalism as we know it – this is nothing more than a cyclical event.
We’ve been here as a society before.
Economically too…
In fact, EVERY 8 years on average, the USA has experienced a recession.
And EVERY time the economy comes back
EVERY time.
More millionaires are minted in recessions than in any other time in history.
You need to watch this.

Split Personality: Tin Foil Hat – Quite a few people have asked my “tin foil hat” personality to make an appearance after hearing that I was working overtime to suppress him on the above video and here’s what I can say in summary:
I do believe there is a virus. It is hurting people and taking lives. I think it’s horribly sad.
I do believe there is something fishy. There is a lot of “noise” that seems unaccounted for. There are a lot of puzzle pieces on the floor… some of them fit together very nicely that shouldn’t (that’s weird) and some of them don’t fit together that should (that’s weirder)
I do have suspicions that the government is testing its power.
Here’s a couple fun facts to wet your whistle…
The “contagion factor” for the virus has been reported as ‘2’ by some sources. SARS was 4. Measles is 18.
Every 2-4 years there has been a disease. Can you guess what happens every 4 years?
SARS – 2004

Zika – 2016
Ebola – 2018
CoronaVirus – 2020
There have been individuals that shorted large share amounts in large companies before the “crash” (Shorting a stock means betting that the stock will drop).
We are now talking about bailouts… (wonder where some of that is going?)
As with everything, the government always says they can fix something with more money and more power. (that’s gone really well for them)
Even if everything is 100% above board, my eyes are still searching for who is exploiting this for power and for money.
If you want my real, unfiltered thoughts, let us know. Maybe I’ll do a small private web presentation or something.
But here’s where I hang my hat.
My faith.
At the end of the day, the most scared people are those without faith in something greater than themselves and this stupid virus.
My God said that 1,000 would fall at my left and 10,000 at my right but NO plague would come near my house – Psalm 91.
He said that he would compound my seed and open up the windows of heaven and pour out such blessing that there would not be room enough to receive it AND that He would REBUKE the devourer for our sakes – Malachi 3:10.
That means I believe me and my family are 100% protected both physically and financially.
I pray that you are protected in all ways also.
My New Squeeze: M5 – Settling down after 18 months of traveling has left me with my gear head itch that doesn’t get scratched with anything less than going fast.
Real fast.
 Well, I’m also an economist. And I can’t stand losing money. That would typically remove most people from the car game. Cars lose money.
… Unless you know how to buy them.
If there’s one thing I learned from 16-21, it was how to flip cars (and con friends into fixing them for me)
… I supervised.
After some clever negotiating, my mom and dad were my silent partners in some (semi) responsible car flips. (Thanks parentals)
Anyway, these lovely CoronaVirus times have given some people the scare and they want to dump their toys.
We needed another car anyway, so I kept an eye out for the perfect opportunity.
And I just picked up a F10 BMW M5 for close to 25% less than it shoulda been. (Getting delivered tomorrow)
Here’s what’s cool:
Even AFTER taxes, interest charges, shipping, PPI AND an extended warranty…
I should be able to drive it for 9-12 months, sell it and make a small profit.
(Quick lesson: IF you buy intelligently, finance stuff. Use the bank’s money, NOT yours. Use your cash for business/investments. Yes, we could have paid cash but I would have tied up tens of thousands in a car. This way I’m only tying up a car payment and since I will make a profit, my net cost is $0).
